Grandmother from Breath of the Mountains: A Folk Suite

Instrumentation/Voicing:
Treble Choir, Piano or Optional Folk Music Ensemble

Originally the second movement from Breath of the Mountains: A Folk Suite, this setting of a Basque text has an ethnic rhythmic ostinato which creates the mood for a frank conversation between a young granddaughter and her grandmother. A tom-tom and/or cello can easily be added to the piano left hand ostinato for additional color.
